Feeling Better

I'm feeling better tonight. Mom found a recipe for homemade dog food on the internet that is supposed to be good for dogs that have seizures and she cooked some up for me. Ozzy and I really enjoyed it. She used chicken breast this time but said that the next time we would probably get leg quarters because it didn't go very far. Guess we were pigs. She thought we could eat off of it for three days but it will probably only last for two. It also had carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, zuchini and green beans. Now that was some good dog food! I think she is planning to cut way back on our treats too. Not looking forward to that at all.

Oops! He did it again...

Well we know for sure now what Rocky's problem was the last time Mom said he was acting "weird". He had a seizure...It happened again at lunch today when Mom took us out to do our business. She put our leashes on us and we went out to the front yard. We hadn't been out there very long at all when Rocky's legs turned to rubber and he fell over on his side. Mom freaked. I don't think she even realized she had let go of my leash until I was halfway down the street. But I only went halfway. Anyways, she petted him and talked to him and when he didn't get better right away she picked him up and carried him inside. She had already hollered at my people brother to wake up Dad because Rocky's dyin (geez Mom, control yourself already). Dad got up and held him until it was over. Then he was his old self again. Anyway Mom's been on the internet looking up seizures and epilepsy in Bostons and planning on cooking special diets and probably a trip to the vet for Rocky this weekend.
Catch you later,
Ozzie

Follow up

So it seems Ozzie has a bacterial infection in his ears. They gave him some medicine to put in them 2 times a day and they gave Mom a nice bill. He is supposed to go back in 2 weeks so they can make sure it's cleared up. In the meantime, I will continue to make sure his ears are as clean as they can possibly be.

Rocky

Oh, by the way, the picture above is of me and Ozzie and our brothers, Dylan and Garrett. They are almost as handsome as us. Ha! Ha!

Smelly Ears

So Mom had my big brother take the Oz out to the vet this morning. This is the second trip he's made out there for the same problem---he has like the smelliest ears in the whole world. I keep lickin um, but that nasty smell just keeps coming back. Last week the real doc wasn't in and his assistant (who is an EMT, and NOT a real dog doctor) said something stupid like it was probably just Rocky's breath we were smelling---Mom had to be a dope and tell him about the licking thing. He just better be glad I wasn't there to retaliate. Anyway, he hasn't come back yet and we are just waiting (with baited breath, ha! ha!) to see what the real doctor has to say.

Later,

Rocky
